Personally, I love Civ 7. However, I think the Modern Age still needs a little more development. If anyone is interested, I have some ideas, and they mostly concern the Culture victory.
The Culture victory is too easy and requires lots and lots of Explorer micromanagement. It's also a shame to see the AI wasting resources making Explorers. So ...
Idea #1 -- Cap the number of Explorers you can have to ~3. <-- Maybe one day a Wonder or something could provide a +1 boost.
Idea #2 -- Exploration Age relics should be the ones you dig up first ... THEN Antiquity Age relics when you get to Hegemony. History is in layers, and those would be ... you know ... beneath the Exploration layer, right? Although, this doesn't really change anything about the game mechanically.
Idea #3 -- There should be some restrictions on which parts of the world you can do the research and excavation activities. I'm thinking that if you're at War, you can escort an Explorer to a Museum, keep them safe while they do the research, then escort them to the excavation sites. The explorers are killable. If you are not at war, it doesn't seem to me like Civs that dislike you or are neutral to you should let you do research in their territory or excavate relics. You would have to change your relationship with disliked/neutral Civs to something better or worse. Friends and Allies will allow you to do research and collect relics without restriction.
Idea #4 -- Relics should be worth different amounts.
A Modern Age Culture victory might flow something like this with the above changes (I'm going to assume you need 30 points):
Anyway, these are just some thoughts I was having. If they fall into a vacuum and nobody reads them, no worries. However, if you violently disagree with me or with anybody else's responses to this, please try to be respectful. We're just trying to make the game better. Civ 7 is great!

- As a starting point, I'm imagining that Exploration relics would we worth 1 at a base value, and Antiquity relics start off worth 2. Then, I think some modifiers could be applied that could add to certain relics' value. I was thinking something like this:
- Relics collected from a Civ you are at war with are +1
- Relics from a Civ that have a different ideology from you are worth +1
- Relics from Distant Land Civs are worth +1
- The above bonuses would stack.

- A wide civilization has a lot of territory. Within their territory, they allocate one explorer to dig up all of the Exploration relics, then Antiquity relics without restriction as the turns tick away. Maybe there are 3 of each. Maybe 2 of those are in distant lands. Shortly after Hegemony, you'd have ~11 points. You went wide, so you're not necessarily as "friendly" with other Civs, but you do have 1 friend. He has a moderate amount of territory and ends up having 2 of each type of relic. Maybe one of these was in distant lands. We'll say that ends up being about 7 points ... now ~18 total. You push your diplomacy with another Civ who happens to adopt your ideology. They weren't your friend, but over time, you patch up that relationship. You send an Explorer to start gathering relics, but you got off to a bit of a late start with them. You could pick up anywhere from ~1-8 more points this way (bringing you to ~19-25 points). The best way to make up the remaining difference would be to go to war with an ideological opponent. You secure an opponent's Museum tile during the war, do the research (by razing OR looting the Museum perhaps) ... then use your army to escort your explorer to the excavation site successfully. If you only had about 19 points from "friendlies" you might need to dig up 3-4 relics this way to get to 30. If you weren't too far from 30, you might only need to dig up a couple.
- A tall civilization has less territory. Within their territory, maybe they dig up 2 of each. Maybe 1 was in distant lands. We'll say you get about ~5 points. I would think a tall civilization might have been less confrontational with other Civs, seem less threatening to the AI, and have better relations. You are able to go into 2 friendly Civ's territory and double the bonuses I allocated above (I gave ~7 for this stage), so you'd get about +14 points this way bringing you to ~21. It isn't too tough to get friendly with a Civ that happens to adopt your ideology, not many Civs had bad relationships with you perhaps. As above, you pick up maybe ~1-8 points this way (brining you to 22-29). Then, as above, you'd have to find some way to get yourself to 30. War? REALLY lean harder into diplomacy?
