Of all the micronation states of Europe (Andorra, Malta, Luxembourg, San marino, Cyprus, etc.), what's the furthest away any of them ever went in either the WC or EC, and naturally, which one did it and when?

Those nations never made it to any WC or EC. Or we must think of Latvia last EC. Or maybe Northern Ireland in 1982 or so.

In the old days, the EC was a big qualifying tourney, with only the semi finals and final in the main event.

In 1964 or 1968 Orange was beaten in a knockout home&away match (I think 1/8 final) by..........
Luxembourg.
I learned about it in one of those typical pre-EC warming up TV series.

So, Luxembourg made it to last 8, I guess.

Maybe that is what you are at?

Northern Ireland in 1958 went a long way...quarters?

Yes, I was thinking of Luxembourg. Northern Ireland and Latvia are too big to be included in thegroup I think. N. Ireland has almost 4 times the population of Luxembourg.
They got to the quarters in 1964 indeed and lost to Denmark, but only after a 3rd tie-breaker game, so they almost made it to the semis.

C'mon Der Stöhn, your turn. ;)

Which football player, with a master's degree in economy, made it to the Dutch national team?

Complete stab in the dark: Rinus Israel? (you know, those glasses ;))

Nope.

More recently. He played 13 games for Orange between '89 and '91.

Eleven countries have managed to reach the highest stage in football: the final of the world cup. Name the countries?

haha it was! but I can't think of anything reasonably hard.. just TOO hard or TOO easy..

Name a CONCACAF Champions Cup winner that's not from the North-American or Middle-American subcontinent

Actually, Willem's answer is wrong.

Only nine made it:

Germany, Italy, Argentina, Brasil, Czechoslovakia (not Czech republic ;) ), Hungary, Uruguay, Holland and the Homeland.

To a sidenote, since Czechoslavakians (out of existance :) ), Hungarians and Uruguayans did it ages ago and won't even be present on the next WC,
there are only 5 candidates for the final:
Germany, Italy, Holland, Brasil adn Argentina.
Statistics don't lie :) .

To answer the next question:
Jamaica?
