The starting position is, to say the least, massive.
Why I post this one is, I'm rather curious as to how other people would go from this position.
I played my game already, finished this morning, but I'd be interested to see what other people would do when blessed with a start as resource heavy as this.

The game is as follows;

Prince*, Epic speed, Fractal map, Standard size.
I used Better AI and BetterAI-handicaps.

*I recently installed the BetterAI package and felt like testing it. I've recently moved onto Monarch myself, but decided to try the mod with Prince, and I have to admit, it lived up to it's name. Very good, definitely recommend it.

You have a chance at getting Civil Service from the Oracle.

But if you decide not to, it won't play much differently. The 2 health+happy resources makes the early game seem more like Noble level.

Yes, it was rather easy. I do wonder if we play the same game, I usually land two resources, on rare occasions more.

Never 6 before. :)

Ivory in your fat cross is a double-edged sword. On one hand you have the earliest happy resource (along with gold) which means you can grow your city larger for thousands of years compared to your opponents. It also lets you build war elephants when you get construction. On the other hand, ivory is one of the least productive tiles to work and they're next to the river too. There's just very poor production there in the mid-game. If you had ivory you would want it to either be just outside the fat cross or in another city.

That said, with those hills and the corn + pig you will be able to pump out axes at an insane rate which teching like a maniac.

Is ivory really that bad? Ivory on plains is as good as a grassland hill, but with extra commerce. The only disadvantage here is that you'd have to research hunting since China doesn't start with it.

On mid-late game, if I have more than 1 ivory source, I would farm/workshop/watermill/whatever the other. You still get +1 hammer :)

Construction beeline. Chop the great wall for a GE (you ARE China after all :lol: ). CS beeline. Lightbulb Machinery. Win.
