Curse of the Drinking Class - Develop a city to produce 200 resources per turn.

Does anyone know how to calculate the 200 resources per turn? Does this include gold, or just natural resources? Any tips on how to do this one?

I did it on Beta Centuari on Chieftain for ease. Settle your first city, then scout around for a nice spot with lots of forests/hills/mountains. Build up all the production buildings, switch to communism and you're done. Had a city with 264 when I did it.

And it is jsut production that gets counted.
 
It is only resources, production, hammers, whatever you want to call it, that counts. The poster above me pretty much nailed it, but to make it even easier, on top of what he said, use the Americans. 3x factory is pretty major for this.
 
200 resources = hammers.
Just play with American, it's very easy to achieve.
 
Settle next to a bunch of Mines and get a Workshop, Build a factory.

The thing is, Grasslands and forests are better in the beginning, but in the long run, Plains and Mines will produce more with the right Buildings. I suggest building next to Grasslands and Forests in starting 8 squares with plenty of Plains and Mines in the Courthouse region. Remember, population that isn't working will contribute towards Production as well.
 
Don't forget to switch to commie, giving another production bonus. I'd do this when your really close, say 175 or so.
 
Thanks for the heads up! I will definitely give this a go and fully expect to get this achievement with relative ease now.
