Vista...

I have a set of custom cursors (which are kickass, if I say so myself) based off the Blue marble cursors. They are attached.

After I made them, I set them as my default cursors the normal way, through Control Panel > Mouse > Pointers. Then I clicked Apply, and the cursors replaced the default. Finally I pressed OK and closed the windows to return to Firefox.

I turned off the computer. Later, when I turned it back on and logged in, I noticed something. The default Vista cursors were back.

I had saved the cursor set, so I just changed it back to my cursors, and restarted the computer to test if there was something wrong. There was--it reverted back to the Vista default again.

What's the problem and how do I fix it?

Edit: a Google for "vista restart cursor change" reveals nothing:

Are you using a logitech mouse? Drivers for those may be causing the problems.

No, I'm using a DYNEX.

Does anyone have an answer?

:bump:

where did you save the cursors to? are they in the same file as the default cursors?

I renamed the default cursor files and put my own in their place. Thank you Cutlass :D.
