Hello,
I've made a large size map (see spoiler) covering Indonesia and Australasia and I'm just about ready to release it, but playtesting it I've found that the vast majority of civs get stuck in Australia.
The settings are random resources and goodies, with no defined starting locations. In a typical game, 7-8 civs are placed in Australia, 0-1 on Borneo and 1-2 on Papua/Papua New Guinea. I would like to see less civs spawn in Australia and a few in Indonesia and on the Malay peninsula. I've tried forcing the map size to scale to both standard and huge, but the vast majority of civs end up in Australia anyway. I've tried setting up different continents (indonesia as asia, australia + nz as americas) but the problem persists. I don't want it to be a scenario, so how can I fix this?
Thanks,
Borklund
