In the past, you could give yourself a custom forum title to replace the default Chieftain to Deity titles once you have 10 posts AND have registered for 10 days.

To make it simpler, starting today (10/27) you will be able to give yourself a custom title when you have 30 or more posts. (When you reach 300 posts, you can give youself a custom avatar)

You can set both title and avatar in your User CP.

I hope this new system is easier to remember. :)

Those people should have 30 posts before this discussion is over.

If they already had a custom title, I doubt it would change back to the default title. However it could mean that they could no longer change their title but I doubt there are that many people with between 10 and 30 posts...

Its 30 posts! The 300 limit for custom avators is much more likely to encourage spamming.

Well, some newbies manage to get 30 posts on the first day. As with custom avatars, I think it'd be better if it somehow reflects the quality of your posts. I don't really see how that's possible, but it'd rather see that you can set your own title after, let's say, a month and a custom avatar after a year or so.
But I think that this is a pointless debate in which we would only recycle arguments from the avatar or pc discussions. It's all up to TF, and it's up to the mods to 'discourage' spamming...

Titles are for lesser men...:p

So, how exactly do I get to that custom titling?

(Little kid voice) "I wanna do it too..."

Top of your screen, go to User CP and Edit Profile. I'm pretty sure it is in there yah? :goodjob:

I'll just go get my 30 posts over on Sports Talk where I won't be accused of spamming the "real" groups.. heh :)
