I have an mp3 that is one gigantic mp3 but it contains about 12 songs. Are there programs that I can cut it into pieces and make each one an individual mp3?

BTW I have something called GoldWave but I dont' know if it can do this.

Don't have an answer but another question. How about the opposite, putting several mp3s into one?

To cut up the illegal music you stole you will need software such as Soundforge. To integrate multiple MP3 files into one, you will need the same program (or just about any audio software available).

Convert the thing into .wav then chop it up with goldwave.

My dad did this recently (not on illegal files...) and we used Nero Wave Editor to cut in the files and convert them, but then you have to have Nero.

Windows has a built in device (sound recorder) that can chop, link, adjust speed/volume of wav files. You would need to convert it to wav obviously, then wait a hella long time for it to load...I wouldn't recommend it for a full CD, but it's good for minor editting.

Thanks for judging me, but its actually a CD of rare Rolling Stones tracks given to us by a family friend.

Anyway, I'll check out Soundforge.

EDIT: I'm not stupid enough to download albums as one track anyway! :p
