Is there any other way to increase your population count other than buying infrastrutures

Using resources can boost population count, getting certain improvements (like a hospital, clinic, etc) getting certain events can boost population, and soldiers boost population (they boost supporter count but are not taxpaying citizens)

Other then that unfortunately infrastructure is the only reliable way to boost your population:sad:

Which is why I have 508.07 infrastructure. (and it is still not enough)

IMO there isn't ever really "enough" infrastructure because the more you buy the richer you become (unlesss you buy so much infrastructure that it you make less money with the infra, but that is a very far fethced goal).
also, I'd like to ask a question that probably doesn't have an answer, but I'll ask any way, construction says "reduces infrastructure cost -5%," does that mean -5% off the initial purchase or -5% off of infrastructure upkeep?

Enough for me is when I have enough citizens to be powerful, but not enough for people in the game to nuke me. (I'm like Bismark. Want power, but know when to stop)

Don't know. Probably initial purchase, since my logic is that you construct the infrastructure once. To make repairs, you don't use buldozers much, and that is seperate.

In my previous calculation I came up with 95% off infrastructure. However, what I overlooked was TWO resources, those are:
Aluminum, -7%
Rubber -3%
which is a total of -105%,
In my opinion, however, Construction said -5% off Infra cost so I think that means -5% off Infra UPKEEP thus making it an even -100% (otherwise you would money from buying Infrastructure  )
Isn't that cool? That means you could in theory buy infra forever and only have to about upkeep costs being more than gain from infra purchase. Plus the fact that your population would be unhappy due to shortage of police (military) and population density (not enough land). A funny thought: you expand to the first postition overnight, but you only have a thousand or so troops (:nuke: ).
EDIT: New and unfortunate news, factories now only give -8% which translates to -20% infastructure or -75% total:sad:
Newer news: The bonus resources have gotten asphault which gives -8% infrastructure raising our total to -83% which still is unfortunate compared to what we use to have.
*Sigh* now lumber is only -6% now brining our total to 79% off

And with the changes to the bonus resources, I don't have everything needed anymore. Oh well. Time to rework the massive trade networks...

I'm wondering if I should buy a nuke...

Because I have the stuff needed, just that I need about 50 more infrastructure, and I'll get that in 3 or 4 days.

wow your good! Anyway I definently recomend getting a nuke or three to prevent people declaring wra esp. if you are a rogue. But with the aircraft and all, you may want to spend money on those to (they can do basically everything a CM can and also can take out CM's as well as fighters being able to take down other fighters and bombers.

But I read that if you get a nuke, people would grief you. And I haven't had anyone declare war on me for a long time, so that's not bothering me.

I'm just waiting for aircraft. Then I'll be stocking up on them. :D

BTW, my nation again: Nicronia

your 194 days old and you aren't affiliated with an alliance! Join an alliance already! I, of course, suggest IRON, the alliance you will least likly to be attacked in. Other alliances are on the brink of starting a world war, IRON on the other hand does not need to worry. Plus if you join you will get the money to buy three nukes right away, so join now.

I don't bother with alliances. I'm my own state and will depend on nobody.

Plus i wage frequent wars of agression against non-alliance people which i can't do if i'm stuck in an alliance

I'm too lazy to join an alliance. :p

So... What do I have to do to join IRON?

thats not true, in IRON you can attack non-allied (and also non-orange) nations if you want to (all you have to do is tell your squadron commander that your going to do it). Also if you get attacked you might not be your own state, you'll just be rubble (some alliances destroy aggressive rogues).
oops sorry about the double post

go here and say
"I would like to join."
So I don't need to be on orange team to do so?

Although you they probably won't expell you they really want you to be on the orange team.
Now that I don't want to do, because I've got all my trades worked out already.
