RobiD77: they tried to but they had as much luck as you guys, tnt is doing a great job at being the pariah state

OT Barbs
fe3333au: I wish there were sea barbs though ... prefer to have hazzards all around
RobiD77: yeah, i guess it would make it interesting ... would have been interesting if it was 1 island

Called it Early Maths (no mention of popping) ... just celebrating that they get it early

I do not fear them being upset ...

We just say if we are to assist then we need to establish a base ... anyway KISS will be doing the same anyway and at a bigger scale ...

Nuts already have been seeded to mistrust KISS motives ... so we will be seen as the least suspect and I guess our first units are military hut popping scouts

Worst case scenario ... we get attacked ... city is lost and then the possibility of GA ...

I'm not so sure we should have been claiming to pop Math from a hut. Donuts can see that TNT picked up 3 techs - where will Donuts think they came from? I think they will know we traded with TNT, and we are just labeling ourselves as liars. Perhaps we should come clean and tell them we got maps from our hut, but we secured Math from TNT since they will know anyway.

It was always a risk, another option is that KISS traded with them.

KISS will probably confirm as they know about our TNT deal and pass on already.

Else we can follow your We are Mercenary, and in long run did you no harm infact got you Maths earlier. The e-mail I sent stated

Donuts will see that we gained Math and TNT gained 3 techs the same turn that KISS gained nothing. Even a Donut with a Homer-sized brain could figure out what happened. My opinion is that it is better to tell them stuff they already know so we get credit for being honest while not actually helping them at all. They may not be happy we traded with TNT, but they don't call you Feaurius the Silver-Tongued for nothing - I leave it in your very capable hands.

Thought about it ... but am willing to go into damage control ... as they will send us Horse Back Riding before they open into main game screen ... so by time they catch on they will have sent us HBR

So worst case scenario they are angry for a little bit ... or maybe a lot ... but then we assist TNT a little more

But I agree in honesty approach ... that way we don't have to remember past lies

Great nugget of detail: 18 tiles separate TNT and DNUTs at the closest point. I will try to make time for a little Map-Tinkering this afternoon.

I agree with Chamnix about Dnuts' figuring out what happened.

One thing that could really throw off their analyses is if we GIFT Math to KISS immediately. Then Dnuts will not be able to tell where our Math came from. Thoughts?

They want Masonry this turn ... which will be as interesting since TNT have that tech and offered to trade it to KISS for Writing (and heaps of cash)

Nuts may assume KISS traded Trinity for Masonry ... however I think honest approach.

EDIT - But am open to changing the last sentiment ... think Whomp will support our lie ... ultimately KISS will get these two techs after all.

I'm not really following much of these comments. Please, for the sake of those of us who are less quick-witted in seeing the intricacies of international schemeing: Please refrain from the use of Pronouns.

Too many "they"s and "them"s and "we"s can lead to great confusion as to who the referent is. I'm guilty as well, but I do try to type in KISS or TNT or DNUT whereever there is more than one team being referred to.

So, in an effort to paraphrase the above:

1. We cannot gift KISS Math, as they don't yet have Masonry.

2. DNUT wants Masonry from us. I'm not understanding why Fe says this is interesting with respect to TNT wanting writing from KISS.

3. MIA could gift Masonry to KISS in an effort to lead DNUTs to the [wrong]conclusion that KISS gave TNT Trinity Techs in exchange for Masonry.

4. Once KISS have received Masonry, (with or withour our help) the Math gifting gambit (to mask our recent trade with TNT) comes 1 turn too late: DNUTs will have already seen their tech-trade screen, and realized that TNT is up 3 techs they lacked the turn before we 'found' Math.

I think this is an accurate summary of all those they's and them's up there.

BottomLine: If Dnuts are pissed that we are trading with their enemy (TNT), they can choose to stop trading with us. We told DNUTs we'd help them out in their war with TNT, but that does not mean that we have an exclusive trade pact! As Fe pointed out somewhere: DNUTs stand to get Math earlier than otherwise because we trade with TNT.

2. KISS (not Donuts) wants Masonry from MIA (Donuts already has Masonry). I'm not sure, but I think the link to TNT/Writing is that since TNT offered Masonry to KISS for Writing and cash, it may make #3 more credible - TNT wanted KISS to overpay, so maybe KISS gave TNT 3 techs instead of Writing + cash.
