D3DX9_26.DLL not found

got the game today (DVD) , installed it but when i try to run it i get this message . Have a decent PC and own lots off new and old games that all run with no problems . Was sooooo looking forward to playing it too .

any help would be great.

Try reinstalling from disc, it should have installed DirectX 9. Other than that, you could try getting the December update from the Microsoft website and installing that instead, sorry I don't have the link to hand but should be easy enough to find.
