For the record (at the rate these topics are generating posts, odds are someone's mentioned it by now, but just in case): you can access the Civilopedia from the main screen; hit the "help" button at the top right.
Yes there is. Just hover the mouse until the "extended" tool tip appears, it will tell you. Wish I could speed it up however. It's also the only way I found to get exact hp on an enemy (barb) unit.
Oh dear. So much for "able to function as social being." Good thing that I can only play the demo so far... but I'm getting bad signs of the "one-more-turn" syndrome already!
I'm not sure what you mean by "production line"; but if you're talking about queuing up builds, this option does still exist. I'm not sure if it's in the demo though.
It is in the demo. The queue was a little awkward to use (I didn't see any hotkeys to open it up) but it works like normal. You can add a number of thigns there and move around their priorities.
The thing I'm most getting used to is the fact that purchasing purchases a new units, it doesn't speed up your existing production.
this was a smart way to bring back rush buying without making wonder buying so problematic. If you have the gold to buy a wonder out right, good for you. Else, your going to have to build it just like everyone else.

I believe I heard in a review--though I'm afraid I couldn't track down where it was exactly--that you have to heal ships in friendly territory. You can't in neutral or enemy. Do you think that might be your problem?
