Thanks Darius, I really think Diplomatic is the easiest and best way to win an "All random game". I was playing around with "Random" since if I used the strategies in my guide, I would win quite often. Have you tried a Deity game yourself, it is very easy! :)

Turner, thanks for preventing more off topic posts! :mischief:

Hey, yes. When the" game came out I immediately played at Deity, being a bit over-confident (?). :p Got my ass kicked hard!! SO I took it down the level. Would love to finish a Civ4 Deity game, but simply can't find the time to seriously try it! :( Ow, and I'm sure it'll be very easy after a couple of months of screwing up first. :D

Darius I, the Undaunted of Persia. :D

HM, if it's a Deity game win you want you could try the Quechua rush. It takes about 3 minutes!

Kalleyao was right, it was a HOF game which will appear by the update. :)
HM, no update today, seems like you'll have to wait for another few days mudd. :(

Sometimes, even less! :)
Yes, your games are good, but your real time speed, wonderful! :)

I have updated this thread, that game is now included. :)

Yes, I want to use as little time as possible while I achieve as good results as possible. ;)

It used to be Conquest back in 1.52, but now it is any Future start victory. (Diplomatic, Space Race or Time.) :D

:goodjob: I see that from hof. :D BTW, which of these do you think is easiest? :)

I tried your suggested strategy on Deity for the Romans with 6 AI opponents.
And in 7 tires I have not been able to get any iron to make the praetorians with.
I can get the city up, even get a second city up, and a 3rd settler waiting, while I am researching Iron Working, yet everytime, either the AI has settled a city on any reasonably nearby iron spots, or by the time I get my ready made settler over to an Iron spot, suddenly just as I get ready to make a city, whallaaa :goodjob: the AI suddenly settles the spot nearby, and I can not drop a city with in range of the iron source. I have only concluded that AI is now programmed to stop a Praetorian rush of the continent. The one time I managed to take a city that had iron from AI, by the time to got 6 Praetorians made, I was being swarmed by knights. Also it seems that the proclivity for AI suddely showing up with lots of axe men is high, and wherever their copper source is sure has not been visiable on the map to me.
How is it going for anyone else?

HM? What map did you use? What were your dates, first Praetorian, 2nd settler built, Discover of Iron working etc.? Also, maybe you shouldn't go straight on Standard. Instead try it on Small first to get the feel. :goodjob:

I cant seem to master these as you do but I can win 30% of the times. :mischief:

I remember this praetorian rush has a limit up to small map. It could work for standard size but thats not for beginners. I suggest try the tactic on a tiny pangea map with high sea, 2 AIs. Just like Kalleyao said, you need to get warmed up before taking small/standard map sizes. ;) Once you know how it works, move up to small then standard.

Of the three conditions I mentioned, Space Race is easiest. :)
Does it require heavy microing?

If your trying quick date I think yes, otherwise I dont think so.
I made 1 attempt aand it was nice quick game, but I lost by 1 turn because AI won diplo.  :crazyeye: I agrre unless quick finish, no micro necessary. :ack:
