Who else here thinks that an interesting cross between Descent and Dungeon Keeper could have been made and been successul? Imagine if you run a branch of the PTMC, and you direct how these mines get drilled out, all the facilities inside, and even send and receive attacking forces.

ok, to be honest, I don't remember too much of the story behind descent. what's it again?

In Descent you are a mercenary hired to investigate problems in these mines in our solar system. These mines, located in the moon, Mars, Venus, and every body you can imagine; are mostly run by automated robots. Something has gone wrong and you go in with you heavily armored space craft, flying in all three dimensions facing off against the robots. Most levels you are supposed to rescuet he skeleton crew, blow up the reactor, and leave before the whole place blows up.
