Civ III Modder, Civ VII Player
there are no patch notes about that, so I would assume no.Good stuff, to anyone who’s played do units performing amphibious assaults still appear to be walking on water after an attack?

Maybe they'll bump the version when the patches hit consoles?Curious for anyone familiar with software development is there a reason why this isn’t called 1.0.2? 1.0.1 patch 2 seems unnecessarily granular
According to their Roadmap, it would be: Expansion / Major Update (Collection) / Minor Update (with new things) / Bug fixCurious for anyone familiar with software development is there a reason why this isn’t called 1.0.2? 1.0.1 patch 2 seems unnecessarily granular
628 MBDid anyone happen to catch what the compressed download size for the patch was?
The post has been edited since; now it includes macOS.Thanks! Do the AI, camera, and UI improvements truly only apply to Windows PCs and not Civ 7 in macOS?
Mine was 1.1 GBDid anyone happen to catch what the compressed download size for the patch was?
The pacing isn't great anywhere, but modern is way more egregious than exploration for me. I would guesstimate a turn around the 60s as an average endpoint but wouldn't surprise me if better players have it ending even sooner. If you're having that issue with Modern but not Exploration I'm not sure what to expect...
I just hit Modern for the first time after a 100-turn Exploration Era (with Long Eras game setting!) because I had all four legacy paths completed by turn 97, providing a total of 140 age progression.
I find the exploration economic track the hardest to complete. The pacing isn't great anywhere, but modern is way more egregious than exploration for me. I would guesstimate a turn around the 60s as an average endpoint but wouldn't surprise me if better players have it ending even sooner.
In exploration I've found economic is a bit RNG on where treasure spawns, but the other legacy paths are really quick if you play your cards right!
Unless you play Songhai...I find the exploration economic track the hardest to complete.
Indeed, that one is clearly a step in the right direction of making age transitions less artificial and hard-reset-like.Nice! The city state change should be pretty impactful, and the changes to war propensity should be a nice QoL feature!
That said, the problem I'm having with pacing in modern is that it's easy to hit an end point well before the age progress is even halfway!
If I remember correctly, patches which affect gameplay require separate certification on consoles, that's why those changes are usually packed in larger patches. For consoles I expect the patch to be released alongside next PC patch or the one after next.Hope they will go live with it on consoles quickly.
My guess is that Firaxis wants to have consistent numbering on consoles, so we'll have 1.0.2 as a synchro patch, which for consoles will incorporate all the changes from previous PC patches.Curious for anyone familiar with software development is there a reason why this isn’t called 1.0.2? 1.0.1 patch 2 seems unnecessarily granular
Ugh, I never realised this was an issue as I didn't have any in my first game. I foolishly assumed once they were a City State they would survive to the Exploration Age. That's a real downer, I spent a lot of Influence creating a bunch of themCity States will now turn into Friendly Independent Powers on Age Transition instead of disappearing completely.
