Desktop Icons

For some reason when I downloaded my Civ4 Warlords they icon didnt come on my desktop. I was wondering how i put them there and by "them" I mean Civilization4: Warlords and the original Civilization 4 that comes with the expansion pack.

This is a common problem, you need to look in the folder where they were installed and create your own shortcuts. The exact location depends on the version you have and your operating system, but assuming you let it install in the default directory have a look in the Program Files folder and it may be in a Firaxis games folder in there. The Warlords folder will be in the Civilization 4 folder. Find the .exe for each, right click on it and choose send to desktop to create your shortcut.

If they are installed in your start menu you can just right-drag the icon from your start menu to the desktop, then choose Create shortcut... from the pop-up menu. This will save having to drill down in Windows explorer.

 

[Challs]

I found the icons in my games folder (if you are running either windows 7 or vista) and placed them on the desktop. However they were just images of the cover of the game, so i had to to go properties and change the icon to it´s original form from there.
