Destroy corp HQ?

I tried a search but nothing came up. What happens if you take and destroy a city with a corporate HQ? does the corp disappear (ie all branches), does it carry on without the HQ, or does a new HQ pop up like the palace does? Ditto for Holy City.(except obviously the religion won't disappear).

If a holy city is razed, it and the shrine is gone forever. The religion can still be spread and used like usual, just without the holy city benefits. Also the one who razed it will tick off anyone with it as their state religion.

No idea what happens to corp HQs though, I suppose the same thing.

The surviving branches of the corporation will keep working as normal, but the HQ is gone for good. You can still spread it with executives from the branches, it's just no one gets the bonus gold from the HQ.

The same is true for a holy city, with the added point that any civ with that state religion will be angry with you.

The crop HQ ceases to exist (and thus nobody earns the 5 gold per city). The corporations continue to exist, and can expand as you can build an executive in a city with the corporation. If you raze the HQ city and all cities with that corporation, then the corporation will cease to exist as it will be in no cities and have no way of propagating.

Running corps without an H.Q could get rather expensive too.....
