Dicovering new founded cities

Has there ever been any discussion on the following: if the AI builds a new city on lands you already know about, you immediately see it when it is in the fog. IMHO you should re-explore the land, and only then discover cities that the AI has built in the mean time.

Idea for an upcoming patch??

I've seen that. It does seem odd that I can see in the fog of war. Only applies to cities though, not units or terrain improvements.

It could be logical if you have an embassy in that civ's capitol, and you are at peace. Call it a matter of public record. But I think it would be more fun if we didn't know about them until we traded maps or explored.
