I bought Civ3 Game of the Year Edition (vanilla with a few extra maps) in June 03, I believe. I was planning on buying PTW, but then Conquests was announced, so there was no real point to my buying it.

Nope and damn, had I known that C3C didn't reguire PTW, I would have bought it straight away after it came out instead of a month ago from the discount shelf.

Yes, I got PTW right away, and I got C3C just a month or two ago.

I got only C3C,i didn't think that PTW was worth buying for,and to be honest i ain't so sure for C3C also.

First Vanila CIV III than CIV III GOTY than CIV III PTW and finaly CIV III CONQUEST :goodjob:

Yes, I did.
If you install [ptw] before [c3c], you getspecial scenerios labled civ content.
Thank goodness.

I just installed plain CivIII and then CivIII Conquests on top of that, and I got that Content folder as well. I don't think you have to manually install PTW do get that, seeing as PTW is part of C3C anyway. Unless I misunderstood what you were saying ...

*cries*
i got ptw for christmas, even tho I was planning to get conquests in a month or 2

Afer I played Conquests I feel PTW is a boring version. I cann't see total science one city output when i changed some citizens to scientist in PTW!

I never brought PTW - I didn't see it offering enough extra to make it worthwhile, especially for someone not interested in MP. Conquests I brought as soon as the early adopters were saying that the main bugs had been sorted out! Very happy with the purchase!

I bought Civ3 as soon as it hit the shelves. PTW did not attract me at all ; I saw it, basically, as a multiplayer patch. And since I don't play multi...
Now C3C added Conquests, a WHOLE LOT of new civs, and so on, so I had to go for it. Plus it included PTW... :)

the only game ive ever bought is conquests (i borrowed vanilla civ before that)

Uhhhh...

Technically Conquests added 1 Civ fewer than PTW, for the record. ;)

I Bought PTW then C3C. I always feel ripped off when I have to pay $50 for any game. But yet I do it everytime a game I like comes out. I have to feed my gaming addiction. As far as the game goes I love C3C.
