That's actually pretty much all there is to say about this topic.

If you don't like a topic then just don't read it. If you're not able to avoid threads in a forum you have a serious problem that can't be cured by banning some topic in some forum.

I also don't like a couple of topics and especially how they are discussed (or rather not...) but the simple solution to that is not to get involved with it.

Seems to me that most reported posts are on US-bashing, that might be why the mods seem to lean towards dealing with these.

You might be surprised but I, at least, don't read the 'political' stuff here. If you want my attention, at least, to these Euro-bashing posts, report them.

I do not deal in wrong and right here. I deal eforce local rules and polciy. I am a spammer, a flamer, and troll at sites wher it is permitted, and a damned sight better at it than most of you young fellows.
As for the thread subject of banning some or all politics. It has been proposed before, a few times, and decided against by the All Beneficent Thunderfall.
