Difficulty Level in Multiplayer?

What happens if players have different difficulty levels in multiplayer?

Which difficulty level are the AIs bonuses based on?

I believe the AIs are always on noble difficulty. If the players change their difficulty it only affects them.

In single player the computer players get bonuses based on the human's difficulty level.

How does it work in multiplayer with both humans and AIs?

answer was average of the Human level was the AI level

I frequently play teams VS. Ai. I can say with certainty that at least some aspects of the AI are determined by the average player difficulty(build costs modifiers, for instance). There has been some speculation that starting units are based off of the player 1 (host) difficulty.
