Did you know that my lame ass video card drivers from my lame ass 3d card (but who needs a 3d card when he plays civilization, right?) don't even support directX 9? And that there aren't any new drivers since 3dfx went bankrupt? And that those brilliant beta drivers I installed messed up my whole computer?
Crap.
Now, let's see if this computer allows me to install direct x 9...

No. That depends of what kind of OS you run. If you use win XP, you can run system restore, and select the day before you installed it. you can also download and use this tool:
Directx 9.0 uninstaller
I don't think so
But as it is written on that site, it should be possible to uninstall it with the ordinary win9x uninstaller. I have not tested it so I can not confirm it.
I thought:-since you always get the warning about this version replacing any version you currently use--I thought you could just reinstall whatever version you had before and it would overwrite Dx9
As this uninstaller works fore XP, it uninstall, then the older version appears.
I'm not sure how it works fore win9x, but you can't just overwrite it. You must remove it first, one way or another.
