US accused of spying on other governments! Incredible!

Rmsharpe knows that his government would never stoop to the low of spying like so many others do. Let's write a condemnation and pledge against those who would snoop on foreign delegations, rmsharpe, you and me. Zero tolerance. We'll give it teeth. I'll start:

Is it standard practice to edit 'damning dirty documents' for simple spelling clarifications.

Did the editor really read favorable and think the language would get lost on his readers?

Echoing sysphus: golly, no! Not ESPIONAGE!!!

I guess the real question here is this: (pick one)

1. It's real, and lots of countries will be really pissed off. Not that this matters much, since I think Turkey's decision just put an end to any administration dreams of multinational cooperation.

2. It's fake. No spying is going on. If so, isn't that a little lax and cavalier an attitude on the part of the US? If the UN's approval is so important, and if this war is no urgent, than why is the United States' costly intelligence apparatus NOT being used to try to aid in the effort to swing votes? If not, then, to echo Allbright, "if we don't use it then what did we build it for?"

Damned if you do, damned if you don't...

And PS the website with this memo insists that the spelling had been edited.

Oh well.
