Disable barbarian camp warnings ?

Maybe I'm dreaming, but I could swear I've seen an option somewhere, somewhen, to disable the warning icons for when new barbarian camps are found.

If there is no such option, is there a way to disable them via some game file ?

They get annoying for being a constant as the game progresses and the map gets fully revealed (even with "raging barbarians" off there's plenty of the buggers around).

IMHO, a much more sensible implementation of this perk in the game would have been "notifications for barbarian camps spotted near your cities" or "inside your borders" (as opposed to the whole map!). I would still just disable them completely, if I could.

Barbarian camps never appear inside a civ's borders.
