I have been trying to disable 3D acceleration, but I keep coming up empty. DxDiag just show whether or not 3d acceleration and direct draw are enabled, it does not allow me to turn them off.

Can anyone here be of help?

Edit: Ergh, I probably should have read around a bit more. It looks like Windows 7 depends on directdraw. So new question, is there any way of disabling it for a specific program (in this case Planescape: Torment)?

Edit 2: It looks like it a problem in the game, not in the hardware.

What's the specific problem you're having? I've gotten Torment working pretty well in Win7.

Thank you for the link, but the problem is a crash when I view the area behind Yves in the art gallery in the clerks ward. As far as I can tell it does not have anything to do with the hardware, though spells are also slow and they might have something to do with each other.

Edit: Tried the Nvidia fix, didn't work. Bookmarked the link though.

I posted a post in the PS:T thread in all other games (didn't want to put it here). I installed everything from here, bar the two last items.

Edit: Comparing the two, yes, I'm using the fixpack.

Edit 2: The problem was either the widescreen mod or the graphics improvement pack. Without them everything appears fine.
