Disappearing fur

I have had two games now where the luxury of fur stops showing up in my city's window. In both games, the fur is in my cultural radius, is connected by roads, and has a camp built on it. I wasn't trading the fur to another civ.

Am I doing something wrong? Is this a bug? Please help.

Many modern techs obsolete certain luxuries.

Plastics knocks out fur,
Combustion knocks out whale,
Industrialism knocks out ivory.

Hatshepsut offered to trade me fur after I had discovered Plastics. Anyone know if you get a benefit from that?

same happened to me. For some reason I lost it from my city screen while I still had camp for it and then I kept getting offers from other civs for it.
