Disappearing Quests?

I'm not sure if anyone else has had this happen or if it's already been reported. But I received a quest to build 10 chariots, which I did pretty quickly, and then nothing happened. I thought maybe I misread it and it was 11 or 12 chariots so I kept building them, but nothing happened. I checked the Quest log and there was nothing in it; it was empty as if the quest never appeared. Any knowledge of this? Is it a bug or am I missing something?

A save would be useful. Completed quests get removed from the quest log, but not from the main log IIRC. Have a look in that log, and see if it mentions the quest being completed or failed.

It would be VERY nice if there were a way to check on the status of your quest. For example, if you are told to build 10 chariots, there should be a screen that tells you something like '6 out of 10 chariots complete'.

That just tells what the current quest is. Not how far along you are towards completing the quest.
