Hmm..... that's a lot of cash. And who cares if we get dragged off to war? Its not like we're a peaceloving little Democracy. If some idiot AI is foolish enough to attack Greece while we're in an MPP, I say more land for us. Sign the deal. 
BTW, Persia has a larger army than us! I just checked the military advisor screen:

Greece is locked off in the corner of the world so it is unlikely that they will drag us into other wars. Plus it is hard to say no to 206 gpt. I am in favor of this deal as it will allow us to once again compete in the tech race.
We should use this deal as a springboard to eventually get us into Democracy, starting by using Medicine to acquire Steam Power and Industrialization if possible. This would allow us to build Universal Suffrage, which would finally make Democracy a more realistic goal. If this were allowed to happen, we could pretty much write our own ticket in the tech race. This is something we need to do if we want to get our Panzers before anyone else.

Take the gold. Use it to upgrade our entire force of outdated pikemen to modern riflemen. Yes, that's right. This one deal can turn our decrepit old veteran soldiers from nursing home heros to vibrant front line troops.
BTW, Universal Suffrage is a militaristic wonder. NU, and ToE are Scientific. That means those two wonders together will create a golden age. This is the problem with a late UU.
I just did a check on availible Pike upgrades: 2,700g!!!!
And for all availible Muskets: 560g!
We have 3 spears, but the game doesn't even want to take those into consideration! (ouch) It's 120g for each spear upgrade - 360g total.
This is over 3600g for upgrades (not to mention troops in the field and in the maginot line). This will certainly be a discussion on what to do with our new-found wealth.

Although generally wary of MMPs, I think that in this case the benefits outweigh the potential costs - provided of course the Greeks can actually afford it... Probably worth the risk though, so sign us up
