Now that we know a bit more about the world around us it's time to discuss which direction we most urgently want to explore in, so please post your suggestions here.
I would propose:
* existing warrior
to the east to uncover the leftover dark area
* next warrior
to the east-south-east along the coastal mountain range, then south-south-east to meet with the already existing warrior somewhen
* 2nd next warrior
to the west-north-west
I would like to suggest that our warrior continue on its current course to explore the areas to our SW, S & SE, since this seems to be the area in which we are most likely to find the Aztecs' territory. I believe that finding out more about our immediate rival should be our top exploration priority at this time.
I agree with finding the Aztecs. It will be important to know where they live, but unless they're due West or due South from Bavaria, the cities will be too far away to do us much good. When we do find them, we should probably just knock them down to one city and extort what we can from them.
So far, it looks like a good job of exploring. It also looks like we need to build some settlers in a hurry too.
I also aggree on trying to find the Aztecs. Its important to know where they are. Just incase they decide to declare war on us or incase they start making settlers like rabbits and start setteling.
Finding the Aztecs is a good priority. After that, I propose we explore the area between Bavaria and the current location of the warrior, then the mountianous coast. Most civs start near coast, and that'd be the best bet for finding a new AI.
I would prefer not having too much black area aroung our capitol, as we will have to put our cities in the best positions. without knowing the surroundings, thats impossible.
I suggest we begin to map out the borders of Aztec land, in the hope of gaining intelligence regarding the size of their cities and their strength both in arms and culture. Greater knowledge of their territorial limits will greatly aid planning for an attack.
