The Ronin wants to fight ?

So be it. The Ronin vs. The Mutant.

I hope it will be a good fight.

Hmm. Lady Luck has changed her tune.

*The Risk-Breaker jumps up from his chair with a smile and happily hands over a bag of coins to Tolis' collector.*

What is life without a little risk! A chance of glory, the exhileration as you wait for the outcome is that perfect moment.

We are all students of chance, as luck is as prevalent in war as it can be anywhere.

Who will luck favour this time - Only the good Lady can tell us...

But a man who has dabbled in his fair share of Risk points at you...

*The Risk-Breaker points at the SpellSword*

You good sir Methos are going to make me rich again. Now then, where is that courier...

*The Risk-Breaker hurls a large bag of coins, tied securely, at the back of Tolis' Betting Courier.*

*Yelling* Bet that on the Spell-Sword please my good man!

As for voting, I wish to be entertained.

I vote for Bris, The Drunken Brawler to fight The Silent and Brooding Dirty Fighter.

Such a matchup of styles will provide the most elegant of contests. And plenty of drink.

Pinman the Sacred Fist looks refreshed and revitalized, having washed off Nahkarma’s blood and removed his weapons and armor. His appearance sparks a wave of muttering, him having just ripped off a man’s head the previous day.

It seems that victory belongs to me and the divine in this round. Nahkarma’s false faith has been revealed, and the light of truth graces us all. I shall say a prayer that the ‘True Believer’ lives up to his name wherever he is right now.

The Sacred Fist lets out a great sigh.

A source of constant sadness for me has been the way that certain people cannot bring themselves to accept the holiness of the divine. If only they had the strength….:(

Finally, having spent a few moments in silence, the protector of the divine snapped out of his reverie.

Well, it seems that there is a bit of business to attend to today, isn’t there? Firstly, while I pray for the safety of the Spellsword, the False Prophet is a man of god somewhere within his tainted soul. Therefore I bet 200 gold on the False Prophet.

As for who should fight, that is uncertain, as no particularly dire challenges have yet to appear. For the most part, today’s selection seems marred by foolishness.

Hmmm...., my last bet didn't go so well, I think I'll wait to bet. But it seems the Ronin has picked yet another fight so I say let him have it, The Ronin vs. The Mutant.

Ah... It's satisfying in a way when the combat to be chosen resolves itself so neatly, though I fear this vote most likely won't do much in the way of exposing Agents. Let the Ronin fight against the Mutant.

You will indeed pay for this, Ronin.

Ronin vs. Vampyre.

D'Artagnan59, The Mutant... A most detestable urchin which has threatened me via a series of intimate, personal contacts The Ronin takes this opportunity to throw a stack of bound up letters onto the betting table in a vain attempt to force me to back down from my vendetta with mythmonster2, The Vampyre. I am through with his despicable games which prevented me from crushing the insolent Vampyre in the first round. I therefore challenge the said misfit and manipulation extraordinaire to a bout of combat, he will pay for his ill-thought-out threats.

The13thRonin, The Ronin to fight D'Artagnan59, The Mutant

The Ronin unties a bag of gold from his belt and tosses it onto the betting table with an audible clunk 545 gold pieces on Methos, The Spellsword

Lies. How dare you slander my name. But I want to stay safe. The Vampyre should have a good fight and should get it.

The Vampyre will fight the Ronin.

50 on Bullshido, just to be different from you guys.

The mage masher emerges from her tent, slightly agitated by the smell of blood still clinging to the air.

"What an interesting battle, I must say. Well done Pinman. However, I do not like this turn of events... 100 gold on Bullshido Also, I will ask Ronin to fight. He seems so eager."

A rare smile escapes her lips as she relishes in the following battle.

"Maybe...the shadow dancer would be a good match for him, no?"

With a grin, the mage masher makes her way to her tent to begin her daily exercise.

As soon as the battle finishes, the Dreamer falls flat on her face.

Uhh, could oo turn me ohffer? I ffell on my ffaffe.

After being rolled over, she is revealed to be asleep again.

Thankff. I mean, thanks. Now, about this:

D'Artagnan59, The Mutant... A most detestable urchin which has threatened me via a series of intimate, personal contacts The Ronin takes this opportunity to throw a stack of bound up letters onto the betting table in a vain attempt to force me to back down from my vendetta with mythmonster2, The Vampyre. I am through with his despicable games which prevented me from crushing the insolent Vampyre in the first round. I therefore challenge the said misfit and manipulation extraordinaire to a bout of combat, he will pay for his ill-thought-out threats.

Quite right, Ronin. I find it hard to stomach anyone who would attempt to manipulate this competition through such an underhanded medium as a privately-issued threat, too...

...but what about this threat you sent me, privately? If I'm a 'friend of the Ronin', I change my vote. And we all know the benefits of being a 'friend of the Ronin'. You get your name taken off the Random-Number Generator of Hate, for one. D'Artagnan is, if anything, a tribute act.

Right, enough of this bandwagoning nonsense. While I am loathe to send another member of Team 4 to step into the arena, in the interests of actually getting something done around here I will ask Brisingamen to speak up. I know she is around. If she talks, I shall perhaps reconsider. Going by the old 'people you see sending private messages near the beginning of the game are usually marks' maxim, I also ask sirtommygunn to step up to the plate.

Oh, and as far as betting is concerned, I have absolute confidence in my teammate, Bullshido. 80g says the False Prophet wins this convincingly.

100 gold on the False Prophet.

The prophet leaves his tent for the first time this day. He looks around at the group before him.

"Ahh, so ye agents quiver a little now do you? Afraid of an old man like me! Hahaha"

"I have already forseen the outcome of this battle and i know that i am the victor. The prophesy is coming true, exactly as seen in my vision yesterday. Spellsword, do you really think your feeble magic and skill with blade are anything compared to the arcane power i possess? I have been around for centuries, sustained by my magic. You who feebly dabbles in both, what chance do you have? Now, if you will excuse myself i have a battle to prepare for."

With that the prophet scurries off.

Hey, hey, hey! Ronin, my friend, you lonely guy, you wish to do battle with freaky deformed Mutant? Go for it!. Hey, man, my team's pretty chill, you know? Like, do pretty much whatever, man. Hakuna Matata and all that. Live insouciantly.

Oh, also, he says, snapping his fingers and causing gold coins to jump out seemingly from nowhere, 300 gold pieces on Methos, the Spellsword.

But the Mutant does not wish to fight the Ronin. Why not the Vampyre to fight him?

Spell Vampyre correctly, ye... um... what are you?

It matters not whether I fight the Vampyre or the Mutant. I am confident I could slaughter both with a hand tied behind my back.

However I think it's fair that if I do not get to choose the competitor the least I can be able to choose is the stage of the battle therefore I change my votes to:

Support for The13thRonin, The Ronin

D'Artagnan59, The Mutant to fight

ooc: You cant reduce bet. Once gone is gone. You're stuck with the 545 gold bet :/
