I didn't vote since I submit so few games but it seems like there should be charts for the DLC but they shouldn't count toward the combo competitions. Although I see no reason to not include the free ones - everyone who has the game is able to have those.

No DLC for me except the freebies, I'll think about paying for more stuff once more problems get patched, probably I'll only actually pay for them when they come included with the first expansion pack.

I will probably buy most if not all of them. Even if I begrudge the fact I have to, £5 every month or two is a small price to pay for extra content for a game I get many enjoyable hours out of.

Only the free DLC's for me... never plan on paying for a DLC when within 12 months the game will cost the same price they are charging for DLC's.

Well i pre-ordered from steam so i got babylon, and i like em. Kinda pissed off that you could apparently get different pre-order deals to get the newest 2 civs free. I think all pre-orders should get all the same civs free. Actually i think it's ******** we are paying per civ in the first place now...

Free characters only.

I bought Babs when it went stand alone, very dispointed over the pricing and the subsiquent neff to the library, felt like a kick in the teeth.

I'd like to see a HoF with the standard leaders only, it's the only way to ensure a level playing field and inclusive sprit of the comp.

I will not even play with the free DLC.

The free DLC are automatically loaded by Steam when updating software.

However, I always play in off-line mode. When the game is not running, one can delete (or move to a non-Steam controlled directory) the DLC from the game making them inaccessible and thus not usable as a player leader or opponent Civ. A number of players have verified that this works, so even selecting random opponents will never result in the use of an unwanted DLC Civ.

The day I buy DLC from Steam is the day I can put non-traceable cash into my computer to pay for it. I'm still steaming mad that I was forced to load Steam on my system to play Civ V. The producers and developers don't seem to trust their customers to pay their fair share, so they hire the makers of Steam to police Civ V. Too bad they didn't spend more money developing the game itself; firing half the developers months before the official release.
