DMZ NEW ORDER

The DMZ Province could be planned some turns ahead, and I suggest we can build these cities as the war proceed.

Lucky Strike (WW2 soldier cigarette, tobacco resource and RN Gods)
RED COLOR

barracks, possibly city walls, built on hill for defense - TURN 148

BLUE COLOR - TURN 150

GREEN COLOR - TURN 155

Good to start this thread.

We could start to settle the DMZ; if we can find some cities that need not be on units. But the cities need to be closer together for safety. Preferably 3, perhaps even 2 tiles apart.

I am not for the Green City; too far north to be safe; and we have to get rid of some Immos. And I am fairly sure a dark green city will appear there soon.

Two tiles apart will be good. After GA ends, there will be too many unhappy citizens which would be better off setttling some new lands.

The Provolution Line

2 Tile Spaced Cities. All open fields of fire giving no protection to attackers. Overlapping fields of fire. All connected to the Ferry Road.

1. Prince of Persia
2. Lucky Strike
3. Camel
4. Port Barclay

 Seriously, I think some in our team would have something against this name.

I, on the other hand find it rather hilarious...

The DMZ will be corrupt and not very productive. So if we use a very very tight build, we can strike at most tiles by units from 2 cities and have the cities close enough to lend defenders where needed.
If a city is captured or razed; we have at least 2, but more realistically 3 cities to counterattack from. And the captured city won't have any culturall borders towards the other cities, thus giving us still the benefit om movement.

Rik, your layout calls for 16 population points and 240 shields.

You aren't actually proposing we literally do that, are you (instead as a guideline for good places)?

It's an example on how a very very tight build works on this map. I doubt we even build more than 4 cities in total. If we can exploit our horse (knights / Cav) benefit over C3B (and we should) this plan won't be needed. But if the RNG gods turn on us and the invasion fails, we might need a defensive backup plan.

Rik

I would omit the NE city due to the proximity of the jungle, which is a defense bonus march up ground for intruding besieging enemies.

More so, I would omit three of the cities behind the Provolution line, and fill these in gradually when we have spare capacity.

This means, the frontal cities will be Lucky Strike, Prince of Persia and Barclay Port, with Camel behind as a fill in city. With room for three more fill in cities.
Lucky Strike should grow to size 6 or so and get city walls, court house and market place and cover most tobacco tiles.

To get more troops free of upkeep, we need more settlers.

Or take over towns ^^
