Well, I dont plan on buying it mainly because of a few reasons:
1. Lack of income (Unemployed, relying on parents for income and most of that goes into my gas tank)
2. The system requierments
3. Lost interest in playing Civ

could someone tell me why exactly a computer will run slow when it doesn't have hardware t&l but has, lets say 768 mb of ram. Would 768 mb of ram be enough to run the t&l and game. (This is hypothetically of course if the game let hard. t and l work on ram). Some one HELP!!!
Heh, my video card doesn't support that either apparently. I'm not worried though, my computer ran Pirates! without a problem. Hell, I run half-life 2 on medium settings. It'll probably run CivIV without a problem too.

The video card with T&L is dedicated to the purpose. If the processing has to travel to your RAM and then back to the processor, there is a "traffic jam" of data (this is purposefully simplistic--please no one criticize me )
