Every tried to play a random leader and random civilization? You get random leaders but I ALWAYS get Roman civilization, every time, 10 games in a row. Sure, that is a possibility with random distribution but the probability is pretty unlikely.

10 games in a row is a one in ten billion probability (1/10^10). That sounds like a bug, if other people can reproduce it.

I seem to get Fredrich and Xerxes every game, which is annoying because they're both combative. Confucius is usually there too.

Do you track which personas are there? Chances to face someone having 2 personas are teice as high compared to regular leaders.

No, I haven't been. That's true, of course. Maybe I'll start keeping closer tabs.

I had that feeling. Into my 6th full game, I'm already feeling like I always get the same ones.

So I reloaded all my games to check. Turns out I was wrong. Thought I'd let you peeps know about it. It's probably a reflection of not enough leaders in the game yet.

FWIW, here's the breakdown from my 6 games (5 standard map and one small):

- Leaders I got 3 times: Ashoka World renouncer, Ibn Battuta
- Leaders I got 2 times: Himiko HS, Trung Trac, Augustus, Harriet Tubman, Amina, Hatshepsut, Napoleon Emperor, Pacachuti, Xerxes achemenid
- Leaders I got 0 times: Friedrich Baroque and Tecumseh

All the others I got 1 time

I myself played Isabella, Augustus, Ben, Xerxes KOK, Confuscius and now playing Hapshepsut for a wonders games

Seems like sometimes a 'feeling' is not always automatically confirmed upon deeper checking

Humans are made to recognize patterns with very limited data.... so we get a lot of false positives.
I would rather feel the embarrassment of jerking back from what I thought was a snake rather than get bit by one.... but that's how we end up with some interesting superstitions.

Getting 1 roman civilization in a game with 8 players is ~80%
10 games in a row with Rome..~10% chance

If you mean you yourself.... It might take random leader and then match the civilization.
