Well, we heard all the dirt and I for one aren't too impressed by the man and his attitude/behaviour - anyone care to defend the guy? (apart from Alex Ferguson should he be brousing the forums)
Does anyone have a good word to say about Roy Keane?

Some things easy to defend - his stance on the Irish approach to the World Cup, ManU players who count their cash rather than burst a gut to win, the corporate prawn sandwich eaters who stop the ordinary fans being able to buy tickets.
Others things less so - deliberately hurting another player (since denied but the video doesnt look good), his losses of control that lead to him being sent off when the opposition set out to wind him up.
There is no doubt about his ability or his leadership qualities.
Its a managers job to get the best from his players - I blame MacArthy entirely for allowing the World Cup situation to develop....Ferguson wouldnt have..

Well he has been a driving force behind UNited for a long time and it is a fact that we don'y play as weel wothout him.

I don't follow the premiership regularly, but I must say I never liked him. And despite the distance, I know him since he moved from Nottingham Forest to Manchester Utd. But I heard he's injured now, so we will have some peace in the next months.

The man obviously has a complete ******* attitude. Playing a rough style in football is a good thing, but deliberately injuring opponents and even talking about it as if it was something great shows what an idiot he is.
That combined with his actions before the World Cup and now his attack on McAteer should be proof enough...

As an American (and thus not a follower of un-American football), I have no clue who Roy Keane is - my guess is he is a talented player who plays dirty - but I do have a few kind words to say about him. At least he's not Mike Tyson, Allen Iverson, Randy Moss, or John Rocker.
With all his qualities you could expect some base level of civilization, specially from a captain.
He's far from the dirtiest player in the premiership.
He IS one of the most aggressive though - to his own players too if you saw his chewing out of Phil Neville for making a stupid tackle when on one yellow card last weekend.
He is one of the most complete players in the world. Can score goals, brilliant tackler and defender, amazing stamina, good in the air, powerful shot. Excellent passer. Reads the game well and can change the pattern of a game. Would get into ANy side in the world.

Well, I certainly HAVEN'T got a good word to say for him - since when did talent allow you to behaive in what is, basically, a criminal manner and then profit by it through book sales?
If there were any justice his fine from the FA would about equal the fee he received from the book publishers and the guy he fouled would sue him for absolutely loads on top of that - christ what a TW*T that man is
