Does playing a civ with a butt ugly color bother you?

I don't like it when the same colored civs are near each other. It makes it hard to see on the actual screen and the mini map.

It is because I can't change any of the colors that they do not bother me.

plz give denmark the dark blue they deserve.

Why is it that I also associate Denmark with dark blue? Their flag is red and white like the Swiss.

Yes. It bothers me a bit too much. Also, I prefer the Mediterranean city style way more than any other. The result: I almost only play with the lovely purple/gold Romans.
