If I play on a two civ team from the start? I have never seen anyone say this is the case, but it always seems that if my wife and I are on a team, then the computers are much tougher to beat.

I'm not quite following you, but on noble difficult (and I think this applies to every other difficulty), the ai gets a +10 production headstart. That is generally why you'll see them having one more warrior than you do right at the start.

hmmmmm, let me clarify. When my wife and I play on the same team from the beginning, it always seems like the computer is more aggressive and more powerful. My question is that since we start the game off on the same team, does the computer get extra bonuses in some way or are they more hostile towards us simply because we are on a team?
