I love my master;
Thus I perfume myself with
This long-rotten squirrel.

I sound the alarm!
Paperboy - come to kill us all -
Look! Look! Look! Look!

I lift my leg and
Anoint each bush. Hello, Spot -
Sniff this and weep.

I lie belly-up
In the sunshine, happier than
You will ever be.

Today I sniffed many
Doggie derrieres - and I celebrate
By kissing your face.

My human is home!
I am so ecstatic I
Have made a puddle.

Behold my choke chain -
Look, world, they strangle me!
Ack! Ack! Ack! Ack!

Sleeping here, my chin
On your foot -no greater bliss -
Well, maybe catching rats. . .

Dig under fence-why?
Because it's there. Because it's
There. Because it's there.

My owners' mood is
Romantic - I lie near their
Feet, expelling much gas.

How do I love thee?
The ways are numberless as
My hairs on the rug.

I am your best friend,
Now, always, and especially
When you are eating.

Look in my eyes and
Deny it. No human could
Love you so much.

Oh no, dog chasing
I feel a tug on my leg
Junkyard dog got me

What's that on the street?
Why, it's a friendly dog!
Stop sniffing my bum!

Heehee. ;)

Woof woof woof woof woof
Woof woof woof woof woof woof woof
Woof woof woof bark woof

I'm sorry. I'm so sorry. :D

Actually, did you know that Haiku should contain what is known as a kigo, a word or phrase that indicates the season the haiku is to evoke. In the case above, it is the 'bark' in the third set - caused by Rex seeing the first butterfly of summer. ;)

The second dog haiku is incorrect, as it has only 4 syllables. Funny, though.
