Turn 0
We are stable (+8), with 1287g +140gpt at 70% science. Industrialism will be learnt in 6 turns. Trade Hit Movies to Ethiopia for 4gpt. Upgrade gpt deals with Khmer, France, Mongolia, America, Vikings and England. Request 110g from England for 10 turns of peace. Demand surplus resources from our vassals Khmer and Turkey.
Veracruz swaps from building a work boat (why?) to Settler. Philadelphia switches from University to Christian Missionary as nearby Boston still doesn't have our state religion.
Our biggest threat (and road block to domination) is clearly France and not Japan, although the two are currently allied. I decide to postpone the invasion of Spanish Philippines for the moment and redirect these troops towards Bordeaux. Also, we don't have enough firepower to take down Athens at the moment, our Infantry aren't superior to their defending infantry. So these troops are redeployed towards Paris/Bordeaux.
Turn 1
Ethiopia demands Nationalism -> NO. I demand 50g in response, which they give up with 10 turns of peace. Plague spreads from Turkey to just about everyone else (except us of course). Now it is time to heal our vassals, so I sell Medicine to Turkey and Khmer and gift Biology and Medicine to America. Ethiopia conquers Siwa from Egypt and Egypt capitulates. Another Greek revolt in Messana means we won't be able to use this city for quite some time yet.
France will learn Assembly line in 5 turns, switching our plans to attack them next is definitely the right call. Steal Artillery from France and start building some Artillery in Madrid.
Kill a Greek Infantry in Lemberg, leaving just one Cannon garrisoning the city. Upgrade gpt deals with France (which will be short-lived) and India.
Turn 2
Load a spy for a trip to Cayenne, which is a lot cheaper to steal techs from than either Bordeaux or Paris. Spread Christianity in Boston. Capture Lemberg from Greece.
America rises from Unstable to Shaky. Upgrade gpt deals with China and Turkey.
Turn 3
Uneventful, more troops approach Bordeaux and building more Artillery. Upgrade some Cannons to Artillery.
Turn 4
Spy is dropped into Cayenne. Our best attacking troops have almost arrived at Bordeaux (formerly from the Pacific).
Turn 5
Lots of war is declared. Babylon and India declare war on us, I think because of our pact with either China or Vikings. Greece breaks free from Russia. We make peace with Russia for 490g and open borders with Russia. Declaration of war on France, also their ally Japan. Troops move up to Bordeaux. More settlers are built and head for northern Canada.
Turn 6
Begin assault on Bordeaux. Greece is willing to capitulate to us, NO. Our Settler and escort arrives in Patagonia, waiting for the moment. We are currently Stable (+12).
Turn 7
Incite revolt in Bordeaux with our spy. Capture Bordeaux for no losses.
Great Spy is born in Chicago, heads for French Canadian cities. Trade with Russia for 15gpt. Open borders with Portugal. More settlers are built and head for northern Canada.
Turn 8
Industrialism is learnt, choose Flight next. Next UN vote will be for Open Markets. Destroy the French navy (mostly Galleons) north of Canada. With all our current wars, we are now Solid (+27).
Turn 9
UN resolution fails. Only India, Japan and us were in favour. Great Spy infiltrates French Canada. Steal Fission from France in Cayenne.
Paris falls to our Artillery barrage, and is razed. Byzantion has finally come out of revolt, but is starving. Still can't release to Turkey though. Switch our espionage to England.
Turn 10
France collapses. We are currently Solid (+24) Adopt Resettlement, before a major settling phase.
Found Santa Cruz (Patagonia) and spread Christianity. Found San Jose del Guaviare and spread Christianity in the upper Amazon region after clearing some jungle. Found Brasilia and spread Christianity. Found 4x cities across northern Canada and Alaska. Raise culture slider to 60% for just the next turn. Our spies are transported to London. We are now Very Solid (+45).
Turn 11
Without Occupation (temporarily), our stability plummets and we are now Shaky (-10). Greece collapses (finally). Turkey eliminates Babylon, in a split of the former Babylonians cities with India. Our cultural borders pop at all of our new city locations, and also some existing ones. Adopt Occupation again.
Liberate Byzantion to Turkey (possible now that Greece is extinct). Liberate 4x cities to America. We finish Stable (+5).
Turn 12
Settlers arrive in Australia and New Guinea with escorts, waiting for the moment. We still need to capture Philippines and can't get to the domination area threshold before this occurs. We currently have just under 23% area and need 25% for domination. We already have the population criterion covered.
With Occupation once again protecting us from the instability associated with all the cities that we hold currently in revolt, we rise to Very Solid (+41).
Turn 13
Conquer and liberate a junky city in the former French Canada region to America. Our troops (3x transports full) sail for the Philippines.
Turn 14
Flight is learnt, I choose Rocketry next. Another UN resolution for Open Markets will be voted on next turn. Conquer and liberate another former French city in Canada to America. Spread Christianity in Burdeos. A Great Engineer is born in Berlin. Not sure what to do with him, so he heads for Madrid. We have 2x Great Engineers and 1x Great Spy at the moment and could start a Golden Age immediately, if required.
Turn 15
Apostolic Palace vote will be to declare war on India (next turn I think). Spread Christianity in Lemberg. Liberate the last former French city in Canada to America. Load our Tanks for a trip to the former French colonies in South America. Taking these should just about get us to the Domination threshold, I would guess.
Our troops arrive in Philippines and capture Satsuma without loss.
Samurai, Musketmen and Longbows are no match for Infantry, Artillery and Battleships. We finish at Solid (+23) stability, pre-Golden Age.
