I've been playing Civ IV, Warlords, and BTS for a couple of months now and I can’t seem to find an answer to the problem I'm having. I've been searching the forums for a couple of weeks and there doesn’t seem to be anything on it. (Probably not looking in the right place.)
It seems that when I research a tech, sometimes I don't get the benefit of that tech afterwards. If this occurs I can never build the involved unit or units and later on I get creamed by other Civs who have these units even though I might be researching Future Tech 5 and the other Civs haven't completed their research.
I also have a problem with my abilities to backslide during a war. For instance I can build a missile cruiser and next turn I can only build frigates and galleys.
If anybody can help me I'd appreciate it since I'm getting bleary-eyed trying to research this problem.
