Also, I realize I haven't exactly been clear about this: There is a difference between character name and public role name, and I realize I've been a bit ambiguous about it.
Your character name (which is optional) is the name of your character, ie Colonel Splime. Note that while the character name will be used instead of the username, the username will always be included in parenthesis/brackets, for easier reading.
Your public role name is what your role will be known as. Your actual role was included in the title of the PM. Sometimes it may sound fine in public (like "Hobo") but other times it may not (like "Super Horrible Bad Guy"). You have the power to disguise your role name to make it sound better. If you give no alternative, your original role name will stick.
Also of note, your class (ie Android, Imperial Guard) will be publicly displayed, unless otherwise noted. It is in fact possible to have a double-class (ie Android/Scientist), and both of the classes will be displayed.
