DOS vs. Windows

Which version do you own?

I didn't know there was a Windows version also.

The Windows version supposedly had crisper graphics and better a.i. but i like the DOS version much more than the windows version.

Only the DOS version - there have been reports that the Windows version is problematic with some versions of Windows.

Well, if the graphics of the Windows version of Colonization are similar to that of Civ1 for Win, I'm not interested.

I tried the Windows version once and ecccch! It was so buggy that it was unplayable. Quickly went back to DOS with no regrets, as the DOS version gets along just fine with Win98.

I don't have the soundtrak because I downloaded the game.

I cannot play windows version with XP it crashes all the time...so I play DOS version

I do believe I own both since I have the Explorer CD

i downloaded both but cant get the music to work, i prefer colonization for windows but the music files are on the cd, anyone want to send themn to me? xD

Gelion u play with sound? i prefer window cause u can do other stuff and play at the same time but i cant get the music for the windows version

I got a game from my friend and I still don't have sound. Haven't tried the Win version.

i downloaded from the underdogs and found the music files on a web, i run the music on winamp and play the game, its almost perfect but not quite, i need the music files from the cd to complete the perfet game so the play at the correct moment

I had the DOS version. I just might have to see if I still have the disks for it and try to install it.
