First off I want to say thnks to everyone on the forums. you've taught me so much about the game that would have taken me ages to find out.

With that said, I want to improve a little more, and so I went on to noble. what's killing me is city placement. I know what a dotmap is, but how do you create a screenshot? how do you enable flying camera in the ini.file? does it take a lot of ink to print? and how do you save them so that later, you can post them.
Thanks...

if I was you I wouldn't print the dotmaps you make, I think it would take too much ink. just play civ 4 in a window so it's easy to see both your dotmap and ingame.

Alternatively, if you grasp the mechanics enough to design a dot map then you probably ought to be able to remember which spots are the best. Unless you have an isolated start on the largest map you're probably not saving much time at all using a map you designed at the start of the game to guide you. Use your big, beautiful brain.

Dot mapping is only useful as a thought exercise and for communicating in forum posts.
