I have 'automatic updates' turned on, and about 5 days ago I got the notice that my computer was downloading SP2. Since then, thought, it says 'downloading updates: 0%' and it never changes. I've rebooted my system at least a dozen times since then, but nothing changes.

I'm also running Norton Internet Security firewall. Is that interfering with the download? Nothing I read said to disable my firewall, so of course I haven't tried that, since the original notice I got that it was going to dowload the update warned 'it could take some time'.

I've never had a problem before running windows update with my Norton firewall turned on, but since Microsoft has changed Windows Update, there's no saying what it does differently now!

It seems it has finally started downloading for me. Started a couple of hours ago and seems to have done 42%.

I've had my auto updates on for 3 days and it started dling today, took about 40 minutes to download, which I thought was pretty good. Installed in about 25 minutes and I noticed nothing new except the blue bar going across the start screen (instead of green), the Windows firewall turned back on (which was subsequently turned back off), and a new icon for my wireless connection in my systray.

There is a popup blocker with internet explorer as well... The download took around 6 hours in the end probably since it seemed to slow down at around 50%.
