Dragons?

Should the Leviathan be mentioned? I believe that to be the Water God's creation is somewhat his war machine...

The Leviathan is certain a beast created by a god as a weapon in the Godswar, but he is not a dragon. There were a great many different types of beasts created, but Dragons were the strongest. Gurid and Margalard were probably created as weapons by Sucellus (he didn't want to fight in the war, but that doesn't mean he wouldn't make beasts to deter others from entering his lands), although suppose they could also have been Aeron's.

I think that Danalin probably also created a Blue Dragon.

AoI mentions that the Blue Dragon was slain in that age, but Nikis-Knight didn't really create a back story for that, and admitted that he was actually thinking of Drifa (since she looks rather and he forgot she is called White).

It is also possible that the Blue dragon mentioned was another servant of Mulcarn who was slain early in the age, before civilization completely collapsed.

There is also an obscure reference to a Blue Dragon and related to Luciaque's Pool is some stuff Kael has shown us from his D&D days.

The Dragon Bones unique feature only appears in 1 scenario, The Cult, in which it is strongly implied that these are the bones of Drifa.
The Victory Popup for The Cult Scenario said:
Auric led the generals down into the dragon's chamber. Ice mana in the caverns wall bathed the chamber in pale blue light. The center of the chamber looked to have once been an underground lake, now frozen. Snow covered the surface and the remains of a dragons skeleton was trapped in the ice.

Auric looked more human than he had when Tasunke entered his tent, though it was only through considerable effort that he was able to appear so. His sleeves were brown with dried blood and his skin glistened with moisture. Since the incident in the tent Tasunke copied Lucian's behavior and only stood quietly and didn't question the dragonless chamber.

Auric walked out onto the ice. Reaching the nose of the dragon skeleton he whispered into what may have once been the creatures ear. Tasunke risked a glance at Lucian, to see how he was reacting their prize of a giant dragon corpse. But if Lucian was disappointed, or surprised at all, he didn't show it.

Then another ragged inhuman cough tore through Auric. He steadied himself on the giant skull and once he recovered he leaned in close and blew into the creatures mouth. Auric's breath was white with frost and it seemed to grow as it moved through the skeleton. It stuck to the bones like snow and from it grew muscles and flesh. As the group watched Drifa was reborn.

The dragon began to shift as her muscles grew. Still half skeleton Drifa lifted herself from the frozen lake, breaking the ice that held her and unfurling her wings. By the time she had shaken herself free of the lake she was fully formed of scales, teeth and thick muscles. Drifa leaned down and glared at Auric with perfect blue eyes.

"Who are you to awake me so?"

"I am your god, I am the resurrection of Mulcarn. And I am one step away from becoming the god of winter. You will serve me as you served him."

Drifa narrowed her eyes and studied Auric closely.

"To long have I slumbered, but I have a taste for the flesh of kings and though you may one day be a god, you are a king now. If you wish my service, you must sacrifice a king to me."

Auric nodded, unsurprised. He turned to leave the chamber, pausing only to whisper to Tasunke.

"It is your time to serve the god of winter."

The last thing Tasunke saw was Drifa rising up over him.

In my version, the Dragon Bones improvement generated when the game starts provides Ice mana instead of having an elephant trapped in the ribcage. All dragons also leave behind the Dragon Bones improvement with the appropriate mana type when they die, and can be resurrected from their bones.

What I meant was, if the Illians complete Stir From Slumber, does the initial Dragon Bones improvement disappear? or can they cast resurrect on the bones without completing Stir From Slumber?

In my version Stir from Slumber doesn't create a dragon, but is required in order to revive one from its bones or build one directly.

However, the fix I used to prevent creating extra dragon bones if a dragon was captured instead of just killed would remove the bones with the proper mana if the dragon is created in any way, including worldbuilder.

What if dragon die on the top of resource -will resource disappear? Or even on the top of mountain (killed by druid or accidentaly by fireball, magic resistant grant now only 50% immunity to fire damage) - could resource(mana node) be create on the top of mountain? (and how archmage can go through impassable terrain to cast spell then...?)

Also for Illians - is it mean that they must first find standard dragon bones for resurrecting Drifa?

Edit: questions only refer to MC mod ;)

In normal FfH, no, they just have to finish the ritual.

I would like for their to be a Green Dragon, created by Kilmorph, called Hammer. Hammer was created before Coatlynn the Wyvern, and is ergo his older cousin -kinda. They fought alongside eachother in the Gods war. Now ... I think Hammer shoud be an alternate build to the Mithril Golem (u can build one or other) after AC 70+ in the ROK holy city.

I have other Ideas for Hammer, but this is my current one.

Edit: I would Imagine Hammer to have larger, more thugish claws, with a more crocodilian/ closer to the ground disposition. Methinks a long spiked fin going down the length of his neck/ back akin to the DnD green dragon. Also ... maybe webbed toes/ fin on tail (with added waterwalking) in exchange for being "only" abashi strength as a 70+ avatar ... Any community Ideas?

No moar dragons. Make existing dragons moar powerful but no moar of them. Please.

So, why do people not want more dragons? I think it would be nice to have maybe one more civ level dragon, and maybe a couple fledgling drakes as minibosses for the lairs. Seem like a good idea to anyone?

Well, the philosophy is to keep them fearful by keeping them rare--these are the ultimate weapons of destruction, and their creation took a lot from the gods. But one or two more wouldn't ruind the flavor, imo, though don't expect in the main game. There are 3 in game for civs and one for barbarians; another that entered through lairs could be cool; I don't personally object to a rare game changing bit of randomness.

can you resurect the golden dragon after he/she/it dies?
most other civs can resurect their heroes...

Eurabates and Abashi are their civ's official hero, and so can be resurrected. Acheron and Drifa are not, and so cannot.

Wait, wait. So who is the official hero of Illians? Auric? So he can be ressurected after his death?

Does frost giants have a soul by the way?

The Hero is Wilboman, the last frost giant.

Thanks for the info, it sees that i played Ilians only once right after Ice was released.

I believe the Frost giants don't have a soul or divine spark but I'm not sure. They seem to be more animals than humans and are full of the ice sphere.
