I noticed you can get a (PC CD) version of Civ 6 on Amazon. The list of operating systems for that item doesn't include WIndows 10. I have Windows 10 and I know that my old versions of Civ 4, Civ 3 and Civ 2 do not run under Windows 10 because it doesn't support the DRM used with CD/DVDs.

I presume that Civ 6 will not run under Windows 10 either from CD. So you will have to use Steam only.
Is that correct ?

Civilization VI will certainly run on Windows 10. It only runs through Steam anyway, because Steam is the DRM, just like in Civ V. A boxed disc edition just changes the installation process. The game will still need to run through Steam.

It would be really dumb to create a game and not make it run on Win10.
Games from a time where Win10 didn't even exist yet are hardly something you could draw any conclusions from.

But as others have said, Civ VI requires Steam, just like Civ V.
