DS online multiplayer

I've never been able to start an online multiplayer game on the DS. I choose "Challenge Anyone" and accept the default settings. It goes to the "Looking for matches" screen, but it never manages to find a match, even after an hour or so of searching. Is there just no one else online or what? Has anyone else had similar experiences?

Also, two unrelated questions: does the DS online multiplayer ever pit people against 360 or PS3 CivRev players? What are the peak hours for online multiplayer games?

You can only play other DS players with the DS version of Civ Rev.

I haven't tried DS online play, but I would imagine prime time is the same as for Xbox Live, early evenings during Eastern and Pacific time.

It's better to get together with a friend and play together via Wireless, I can't even get my Online to work.
