This will be a modded game which include there new units:

Shadow Warrior - available with Iron Working & Mysticsm (requires Iron)
Bandit - available at the same time with Cavalry (requires Horse & Saltpeter)
Special Ops - available with Smart Weapons (requires rubber & aluminum)

All 3 units will have hidden nationality, invisible and detect invisible ability. AI love to use these units to destroy improvements & capture workers during peace time so there should be no automation of worker. One additional change will be letting the submarine (not nuclear sub) to be able to carry two units to stimulate the infiltration and insertion of Special Ops using sumbarine.

As a result of balancing, the units will have the following stats:

Shadow Warrior - 3-2-1 (All terrain as road)
Bandit - 5-3-3
Special Ops - 14(7)-14-2 (All terrain as road)

Remember, lethal naval bombardment is enabled so use those artillery to sink ships! ;)

The game will be at Regent, Continents, 4 million years, Wet & Warm with 80% water on a huge map (180x180) with only Conquest victory. The current player list is as follow:

This game is still open for up to 2 more players.

I am thinking of using Egyptian (Industrial, Religious). Please comment on the changes and Civ, Map etc. If no comment is received in 8 hours I will post the game and get this SG rolling. ;)
 
man that was quick :)

Everything looks good to me, Egypt sounds like fun. Since we haven't played them yet, Maybe switch it to Pangea from continents ? im not the best naval war monger but it would be a challenge for me :D
 
@D9phoenix : Well, Pangea can be a nightmare for Secret War as the AI will continuously send their hidden nationality unit to attack you. :D However, I have no objection to that. Lets see what Killer and JJ has to say? ;)
 
gotcha.. One other question

All i have to do is create the folder in the units section then copy all the files in there right ? ( i have only ever done this once for LK26 )

Edit: I have tried a few searches for the special ops but i can't find it yet. Could you post a link for it plz ?
 
all fine with me, and 1 Q: is it based on my mod? or on the off-the-shelf civ3mod.bic? Because JJ and docceh will need to know!
 
Any type of land mass is fine with me. Egypt is okay.

Are we going with limited settlers?

Any chance at making it Monarch level?

@Killer : Its based on your mod. :)

@JJ : I thought of the limited Settler. It is not fair to the AI as they will raze cities while we know settler is limited and we will keep cities.

@ Gastric & Meldor : I think this SG can accomodate 7 people. ;)

@All : The Special Ops unit can be anything you choose. You can use the Black Paratroopers as the Special Ops if you like. The Black Paratroopers can be found at the Unit Library Thread created and Maintained by Lab Monkey in the completed units forum. :king:

Question: Will Conquest be the only victory option enabled, or will they all be enabled and it's just that we must win by Conquest?
 
I would vote for all victory conditions enabled, but that we must win by conquest. I think that would make it tougher for us.
 
this game sounds cool, do i have to go find all these units or can I download Killer's mod from somewhere??
 
we have ti turn domination off tghough necause other wise it will be a real bother to stay away from that and keep the Ai from resettling freed lands. So all options EXCEPT domination for me!

That can be part of the challenge too, stopping them from resettling.

And here's another little twist one can add to conquest victories: after a certain point in time, say 1000 AD, conquest must be acccomplished by working your way down the histograph ladder. You conquer one civ at a time, starting with the strongest. Can make for an interesting midgame challenge, especially if the strongest AI is over on the other side of the world.
