Dunkirk

Germany doesn't start? WOAH! Germany is in fact fifth... not much of an aggressor then, am I? ;p

Oh well... we will find a way to deal with the bombings of our poor troopers... and I guess it does make sense to let the Brits run like dogs... ;p

Umm... I start at -365 gold and cannot research... lost a few units as a result...

Also, it seems like the biq was exploited to do some sub hunting... nice seeing destroyers next to all my subs ;p

Single player did not have the first problem for sure!

Also, is Italy supposed to be in a locked alliance with me?

Rcoutme, could you check the .sav file that you got by accident? It has left me in something of a lurch, and I think you should just look it over and see if this is right. I mean, I would think Germany should be able to do a little more than spend all its money on its units haha. I will hold up playing it until you decide if I should (and besides, I really dont have time to play it today what with my essay!)

Sorry for the holdup, but I wouldnt complain if I didnt think I had a reason!

The Italy part is correct. Me and France have both had problems with unconnected resources which leads the game to think that no city in the UK has access to oil in the first turn.

Aeon: Once you start taking cities and hit your golden age, I believe you will find that you have an excess of cash. One of the actual reasons that Hitler went to war before 1944 (his original target date) was that his military was bankrupting the economy. You were not supposed to get a -365 on the first turn, that turns out to be a bug of the pbem system, I can change that by adding 365 and having a restart...if you think it is needed.

Game restarted so that Germany does not start with an initial gp hit (as that was not intended anyways).

Game restarted, Dunkirk abandoned again. This time only one German submarine and destroyer sunk since they were moved even though I sunk them last time...

Italy once again given the chance to join the British side. Although we expect them to join the German side since they need to offer us some sort of guarentee.

I did indeed lose a few units to it, so it was kinda bothering me sorry!

I will try and play it instantaneously (concurrent with paper typing) but thankfully I have three weeks of nothing coming up so after this three day period of hell expect no waiting times from me ;p

Noo idea at all! However, I am ready and waiting for it (no work for the next month!) ;p

Prepare to face the wrath of the German hippies!

hahaha, don't worry, you will get it soon! ;p

Aah, just found this in the middle of my inbox, hadn't realised it had got round to me yet. I will play and send ASAP, after my doctor's appointment.

Cities captured:

French:
Wiped out French fortress garrison next to the railroad
Paris
Tours
St. Nazaire
Cherbourg
Brest

Dutch:

Amsterdam
Brussels
Nis
Skopje
Zagreb

Killed a british soldier near railroad. No naval combat, do not think I killed any other troops outside of those in cities.

And to think cutting 4+ roads would have stopped 3 of those french cities from being taken...

Sorry :o
It really shouldn't be possible for me too miss in my own territory. Seriously, I had like 6 bombers all miss my roads as well as a few artillery. In particular, 3 bombers and 1 artillery all missed the road S of Strasbourg, which was probably the most significant error.

Units can pillage roads... A couple of conscripts could have cut most of the critical roads.

When the enemy vastly outnumbers you it makes sense to give up on certain cities and just cut the roads that they cannot take them all in one go...

Considering how many tanks I have ready to go, it really does not matter much... If I had not taken the cities this turn, I would have nabbed them the next one. Besides, I doubt you understand how many fricken units I had to move ;p
