E-mail notification problem

I have strange thing going on for a few weeks now, but it could be that I have just been sleeping for a while . In my user cp options, I have 'Use 'Email Notification' by default?' set to no, but for some reason I do receive e-mails about updates in threads I've subscribed to. Beforehand I used to be only notified in my cp. Anybody know what could be going on?

I already tried switching that setting off and on, didn't help...

Weirdly enough, mine is set to notify me for PM's (and has been forever) and I don't get any emails now about PM's.

Plux, you still have threads marked for subscription. You must un-mark them by hand, somewhere in your user cp.

I know, that's not the issue. I still want subscriptions, I just don't want to receive my updates through e-mail, but through my user cp.

You can't do that Plux. You either get emails and subscriptions or neither.

I use the User CP to check my subscribed threads, but I also have to get the emails and filter them somewhere.

The Telefragged mailserver was blacklisted from loads of ISP's so you sometimes could be subscribed and not get them. Every now and again someone removes them from a spam filter and lots of people suddenly get subscriptions back. I noticed this first when I changed ISP and suddenly got flooded, although many people also noted their emails came back with the server upgrade last month.

OK, that server upgrade probably caused it.. I find it rather annoying though so I shall look into that filter option.. thnx
